Flexicare Care Training
The unique “Flexicare Flying Squad” is fast becoming the “jewel in the crown” within the Flexicare brand.
It was founded in June 2010 with a mission of improving standards of “Training and Staff development” within the Health and Social Care at home market.

The Flexicare Flying Squad comprises of vastly experienced Registered Nurses and Specialist Trainers, ready and equipped to meet the challenge of the changing landscape of Social care and support within the home. With combined experience of over seventy years the trainers are transferring this knowledge, wisdom and experience into the Flexicare Flying Squad Training Programme. The Flexicare Flying Squad operates from the Headquarters in Maisemore which is in itself a registered CIEH centre. All mandatory training such as: Moving and Handling/First Aid/Health and Safety/Food Hygiene/Safeguarding of Adults/Infection Control/Medication Management/Dementia Awareness /Equality and Diversity are delivered by our experienced Training Team who are specialists in Care of the elderly and Moving and Handling. This training programme has been piloted in Rugby (South Midlands) and Wakefield (West Yorkshire) with excellent feedback.

New to the Flexicare Flying Squad programme is the delivery of the Skills for Care Induction Standards (2010) legal from the 1st June 2011. Following agreement from the Skills for Care Head office in Leeds, the Flexicare Flying Squad will be delivering these standards under the umbrella of the Flexicare brand. This is a very exciting time for the Flexicare brand as training and staff development has always been paramount from the founding mission in 1997. The delivery of a fully comprehensive (all under one umbrella) branded training programme will give the Flexicare brand the competitive edge in a dynamic and changing market. All Staff will have at the end of the induction a branded Training Manual which will be the start of the Continued Personal Development (CPD) required for the new and flexible QCF programmes being delivered by colleges throughout the UK. The core business in Gloucestershire has a partnership with the Gloucestershire College recently merged with the Royal Forest of Dean College.

The mission of the “Flexicare Flying Squad” will be to equip our caring staff with the knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional care and support, and also to assist the staff to have a career within the Company.
